THE TEDIOUS AND CHILDISH GAME OF WHO WILL IT OR WHO WON'T IT BE REGARDING THE NAMING OF THE NEXT OPPONENT FOR MANNY PACQIUAO, IS ONCE AGAIN DOING THE ROUNDS. Eight-division World championship winner Manny Pacquiao will apparently fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Nov. 10, but the question remains on who will be the opponent? The three top names are Timothy Bradley (29-0, 12 KOs), four-division title achiever Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KOs) or the three-division title winner Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 KOs).

All parties involved are experienced boxing people therefore why can't the opponent be signed to a contract and then allow it to be announced? It is becoming extremely tedious for boxing fans to be told a decision has to be made on the opponent for a date in November four months into the future.
With Floyd Mayweather Jr. still in orbit around the moon, the carousel of the three named possible opponents continues to whirl around boxing and the news is as exciting as seeing 'The Third Man' movie for the 25th time.
Every one of the named trio qualifies and it is an indication of the worrying state of boxing that recycling of opponents is now an enforced essential in boxing.
Of course, Timothy Bradley should be the opponent after scoring a highly controversial decision in June this year over Manny Pacquiao to derail what appeared to be a non stop Manny Pacquiao train of 15 successful wins.
Whether a public statement on Manny having three opponent choices is a commercial ploy to arouse Team Timothy Bradley to grab a pen and sign a contract, will only have a value that Bob Arum will know. On a more logical thinking basis there is no doubt there are alternative opponents to Timothy Bradley but Timothy ticks the boxes on why he should be the obvious opponent - and while this might come as a surprise to the A. Team of Bob, Team Bradley will be well aware of this fact,
Any alternative to Timothy Bradley, other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. is as meaningful as nominating Hilary Clinton for the Nobel Peace Prize. It would be entertaining to some people but Morris Dancing is also entertaining to some people. ~
